It should be noted that all bibles are rewritten when translated. JWs started with the King James and proved some basic tenets. Adding Jehovah was probably mostly correct.
Adding details and application is where all religions go wrong. As I already posted, the Golden Rule is a good standard, James has the better take on applying it
Humanity at it's best can be found and quoted in select places whether Bible, Koran, Mark twain, will rogers. The worst can also be found; meanness, lust, pettiness, selfishness etc.
Witnesses fall very short on actual love which is their claim of Christianity

Wife never gets a current magazine or CLAM. The (tm) campaign is a 2020 watchtower. Except for the storage keeping the older books has the old dim light

Are Elders prepared to take the fall for WT/GB misdemeanor's / crime ??
by smiddy3 ini have been thinking about this in relation to the directive given to elders to destroy any incriminating evidence they may have either on their pc`s ,e-mails , private notes in their possession, or notes in their witnessing bags ,etc.
to do with child sexual abuse they may still have in their possession.. isn`t that encouraging the elders to interfere with the justice system ?.
to break the law?.

Most elders are doing God's work so think there is no way things can go awry. Until it is too late.
Anyone who is really " thinkingest" (tm) can figure out that directions to get rid of damning material us a cover up.

if you are an ex jw, presumably dfed, and you see a current jw in good standing engaging in behaviour that would concern their elders, would you pass on that information to interested parties?
do accusations from exes and other outsiders carry any weight?

Golden rule and book of James wrap it nicely. But not what is seen in practice. Other religions and some secularists often come closer.
The last days is a common theme in all doomsday religions. The outcome depends on which one: rapture, living through to paradise, reincarnation.
My feeling is either God doesn't care, or doesn't exist. Maybe ( witness belief ) waiting for a greater number to destroy

My beard is comfortable and makes me look better, even admitted by long time company men. . It takes grooming, but less than shaving every day. You are right, it is a choice, not a requirement either way.
